Shake up your fitness “stay-home” routine with a dance!
Are you trying to do your “home-stay ” season much funnier and creative? Or just searching for some other home-activities than just reading, working out, cooking, chatting and bla bla? Well, here is a way to make your home-work-out routine more interesting; DANCE at Home! By combining your hard time of working out with music and dancing, it absolutely augments your motivation for exercise. Beyond any shadow of a doubt, dancing can be an intense workout that burns major calories and builds muscle, but keep in mind that it also improves your overall mental health. The “stay-home” season may be for a prolonged period of time – who knows – so we need to be prepared for that.

What do surveys show?
A recent survey from the medical journal, The Lancet, has shown that the psychological impact of quarantine can be great, resulting in a range of mental health concerns from anxiety and anger to sleep disturbances, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). That means we need to protect our psychical world. So let the music and dance train our body and heal our soul. Therapists also say that through movement, we are able to channel negative emotions and let them go! It can help us explore, express and release our emotions, and by extension release trauma that’s imprinted in the mind and, as a result, experienced in the body and nervous system. You can copy the choreography or create your own! In any case, you don’t have to be an experienced dancer, just play some music and move to the rhythm. Let your body and emotions guide you to the beat of the music and you will be surprised at how happy and relieved you feel in the end. Always remember, dance is an antidote to your anxiety and bad mood and as Friedrich Nietzsche once said:
“We should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once.”
