SAY YES! IT’S PINEAPPLE!
Fresh, tasty, juicy, and … healthy! What else could we ask for summer? Saying yes to this tropical temptation, your body absorbs all the precious beauty and health benefits of the fruit! Pineapple has a big nutritional value for our overall health and it’s time to put it in our diet – if we have not already done so – especially during the warm months. You can eat it or just put small slices in the juicer and drink its juice. It’s up to you! But first, let’s scroll and check the health benefits:
1.Youthful & healthy skin
Being a great source of vitamin C, and manganese, pineapple plays an important role in collagen production, which preserves the elasticity, hydration, and thus the youthfulness of skin. Oh yes, pineapple acts against premature aging fighting inflammation and free radicals in the body; skin texture becomes brighter, dark spots start fading out and wounds heal faster. Thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties, the tropical pleasure can also help you fight acne; you can use pineapple to cleanse your skin by consuming it as a fruit or just using it topically on your damaged skin. Have you ever wondered why it is considered as a summer fruit? Well, on the one hand pineapple needs warm to grow and on the other hand, it protects our body skin against warm and solar radiation – that’s why pineapple is among the most favorite fruits of summer. Now, do you figure out how Mother Nature has already predicted everything?
2. Strong immune system
We are talking about a powerful antioxidant bomb which offers important antioxidant properties for our overall health, boosting our immune system, providing the regeneration of body tissues as well as protecting our body against the effects of free radicals on cells and treating a cold. Our “yellow friend” also reduces the risk of chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, and certain cancers, and what’s more surprising? Pineapple even enhances the fertility levels in both men and women!
3. Muscle recovery after a strenuous workout
When it comes to muscle recovery, pineapple is a “powerhouse”. The combination of bromelain, vitamin C, and manganese makes the fruit the perfect treatment for your body when you have trained very hard in the gym. Why? Loaded with bromelain, pineapple fights against inflammations of muscle tissue and joints, while vitamin C plays a big role in tissue growth. Friendly Tip: When you finish your workout, add small pieces of pineapple to your smoothie or yogurt and enjoy it!
4. Healthy bone structure
Did you know that one pineapple covers almost 70% of the daily recommended quantity of manganese, which is very essential for proper bone growth? Ps: Fruits like strawberries, raspberries, and bananas also contain large amounts of manganese. Thus, if you want to boost your manganese levels, mix the fruits, and enjoy a wonderful fruit salad.
4. Good vision
Apart from antioxidants, pineapple is also loaded with beta-carotene, and vitamin A acting against eye diseases and more particularly macular degeneration; a disease that causes progressive loss of central vision and that’s why the tropical fruit is considered a good ally of us as we grow older. After all, prevention is better than cure, isn’t it?
5. Easy digestion
Pinapple does good to our belly facilitating the digestion of food! Packed with bromelain, a group of digestive enzymes that breaks down proteins, pineapple reduces floating and acts against constipation and diarrhea. Ps: Make it your next healthy snack.
6. Weight balance
Are you trying to lose weight, but you can not stop eating snacks? Grab a slice of pineapple! Juicy fruits are low in calories and high in fiber which keeps you feeling full for longer. Plus the fruit is high in important vitamins and minerals and does not include saturated fats or trans fats, so if you are a sweet tooth, its natural sweetness is gonna satisfy you for good. Tip: Eat it fresh or buy a dried pineapple snack.
…and remember! Be a pineapple, stand tall, wear a crown & be sweet!
